Teriyaki Tofu

Tofu Teriyaki courtesy WmWenzel 12/2009

  • 1 pound firm tofu, drained and pressed dry
  • 1/4 cup tamari
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
  • 3 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
  • 3 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  1. Preheat oven to 375º
  2. Cut tofu into 1/2-inch-thick slices.
  3. Whisk together tamari, sesame oil, agave nectar, rice wine vinegar, ginger, garlic and red pepper flakes.
  4. Marinate tofu in mixture at least one hour or up to overnight.
  5. Bake tofu 45 to 60 minutes until dryer and  golden brown.
